identical. However machine made rugs are produced in factories as a
series. You may find one design rugs in many places and same design in
different sizes. The machine made rug is not an investment in long term
while hand knotted rugs are because they are unique. The other major
difference is since hand knotted rugs are weaved by human they have
longer life time as well as they are used (mostly) by natural dyeing
which last longer for color fading.
